Oct. 2, 2009 At this time this note is being written, CHCH Camera man and road reporter Melanie Ng are at HFCC waiting to interview Filipinos or any organization/association who may have something to offer  our kababayan in the Philippines who are impacted by typhoons “Ondoy and Pepeng”. If you have any project or drive such as to fund raise for this calamity, please go to HFCC before 6 p.m. this evening and be prepared to be interviewed on television… live.

PLEA FOR ASSISTANCE 

The Hamilton Filipino Community Centre will be the hub of the fund raising effort to help raise funds for the unfortunate victims of typhoon Ketsana that devastated the Philippines recently. We appeal once again for your generosity to help our less fortunate brothers and sisters.

The Bank Account “HFCC Calamity Relief fund” is now open and running at TD Canada Trust in Upper James and Mohawks Sts.

The Account number is: 01912  004 7599 5221540

·   Any one from the public may deposit into this account directly - cash or cheque.

·   Cheque may also be made payable to HFCC with a note at the memo line ‘for typhoon relief’ then submit to any HFCC director/officer for deposit.  Donor will be receipted and acknowledged.

·    We are targeting October 20th as our first remittance to be submitted online to Philippine Red Cross.

·    Donor list will be posted at our community website and will be updated as the donations come in.
